This recipe has been crafted over generations in the Title-Penner tree. These chocolate chip cookies will delight whoever tries them--the perfect midnight treat or dinner dessert!

Serves: 1 dozen
Ingredients
1 cup and 2 tablespoons flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 stick unsalted butter, at room temperature
1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
1/4 granulated sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 large egg
1 cup bittersweet chocolate chips
Directions
Preheat oven to 375’
Cream the butter with the sugars and vanilla.
Beat in the egg.
In a separate bowl, combine the flour, soda and salt, and add to batter, beating.
Stir in the chocolate chips.
Bake on ungreasedcookie sheets (Note: I use parchment paper) for approx. 8-10 minutes, until just golden.
